The MOON has been a symbol of the feminine energy since ancient times; once through her cyclical movement and then also through her influence over the waters of the Earth – water being the element of the feminine, emotions, the subconscious.
Our living nature, animals live in close attunement with the cycles of the moon and follow her guidance through all seasons, readign her energy carefully.
Coming back to her wisdom, as humans, all the more as women, we access and activate a lost power within that helps us ground ourselves wholesomely into Mother Earth’s womb and also know ourselves deeper and restore our natural sense of direction.
Menstruating with the full or new moon or ovulating with the full or new moon etc. it all has a meaning and is a reflection of traits of our wild, feminine spirit and heart.
A way to come back to the natural rhythms of our planet and bodies is to listen to the rhythm of the moon and align with it. A first dimension of this is entered through honouring the 2 main phases of full moon and new moon each month.
This honouring can happen through RITUAL in any form, for example prayer, meditation, dancing, sitting in circles with others, sharing stories and allowing their medicine to enter us or simply lighting a candle.
